The Majestic's Programs & Activities:

Majestic Productions ~ The Majestic Theatre features a year-long production season. We produce several traditional musicals and plays of diverse subjects each year. Productions are performed at the 300 seat Monsignor Pierre Hevey Theatre in the former St. Marie School Building in Manchester. In an effort to help all that want to experience the theatre we strive to make our shows affordable, family-friendly and fun. Recent productions include Les Miserable: School Edition, AIDA, Oliver, Forever Plaid and Nunsensations among others.

The Majestic Academy of Dramatic Arts ~ In 2008 The Majestic combined youth and teen companies into an all-new Academy of Dramatic Arts. This includes a year-long season of performing opportunities as well as revitalized and enhanced educational programs for ages 7-17. Educational offerings include classes, workshops, summer theatre camps (ages 4-17) and other opportunities. The Academy is designed to expand the knowledge and love of theatre arts by all involved. We continue to present a touring production led by a group of teens actors in which the teens produce and perform a children’s musical to tour local libraries and community centers.

Open Doors Manchester ~ Open Doors Manchester is a collaboration of local arts and cultural organizations, galleries, museums, businesses, and the city of Manchester, aimed at encouraging multigenerational participation in the arts. Open Doors celebrates the rich culture in Manchester with coordinated openings, transportation, and written materials. Three times a year, visitors can hop on "Art Trolleys" that loop continuously to arts and cultural venues in Manchester. The program is open to the public and free of charge. The Majestic Theatre serves as the fiscal agent and works with a dedicated committee of open doors representatives. Partnering organizations include: Art 3 Gallery, Framers Market, Langer Place, Manchester Artists Association Art Gallery, Manchester City Hall, Millyard Museum, SEE Science Center and The Studio of Photographic Arts.
