2020 Virtual Summer Camps

Virtual Workshop Program (limited slots available):

Virtual Workshop Program: 5 – 7 year olds

We will be using Zoom to provide this virtual experience; This program is limited to 12 participants per week. You will be emailed a link to access on your ipad, tablet or laptop so your child will be able to view, hear and participate in the activities. Please clear some space so your child has room to explore movement activities. Dress comfortably and have a water nearby as needed. Materials such as scenes and songs will be emailed in advance of the workshops. Repeated workshops will have different content and/or allow the participant to build and hone theatre arts skills.

Instructor Jocelyn Duford – Jocelyn earned her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Dartmouth College and has since been performing throughout New England as an actor, singer, and educator. She is currently the Artistic Director for The Fairy Tale Players, a group dedicated to providing educational, interactive, and inspiring live theatre for young children. Jocelyn is the Theatre Advisor at Mountain View Middle School in Goffstown. She has taught many theatre summer camps for various performing companies, either directing a fully produced musical or leading various acting workshops. She has also worked as a Mad Scientist, touring NH and MA leading classes, performances, and camps that teach science to children. Jocelyn has directed several youth productions for Majestic. This is her third year on Majestic’s Summer Program Staff.

Tuition: $30

In this program, we will learn the song Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo with a bit of choreography! Each day we will do acting games all about magic and wishes. Create a magic wand using simple supplies you have at home and share on our final show and tell.

Dress Up/Show and Tell Days:
Monday – Rainbow day: dress up with all the colors of the rainbow!
Wednesday – Magical Character day: dress up as your favorite magical character!
Friday – Magic Wand Show and Tell: show off your homemade magic wand!

Monday, Wednesday & Friday, July 13, 15 & 17, 2020 9:00-9:45am
Tuition: $30

In this program, we will learn the song We Built This City with a bit of choreography! Each day we will do acting games all about being a super rock star! Create a guitar or microphone at home or make your own for our final show and tell day.

Dress Up/Show and Tell Days:
Monday – Tie Dye day: dress up in all tie dye!
Wednesday – Crazy Hair day: give yourself a superstar ‘do!
Friday – Microphone/Guitar Show and Tell: show off your homemade rockstar gear!

Monday, Wednesday & Friday, July 27, 29 & 31, 2020 9:00 – 9:45am
Tuition: $30

In this program, we will learn the song The Candy Man with a bit of choreography! Each day we will do acting games related to those sweet and sour treats we love to eat! Create a giant lollipop craft at home to go with our candy choreography.

Dress Up/Show and Tell Days:
Monday – Favorite Candy day: dress up in the colors of your favorite candy or show and tell your favorite candy!
Wednesday – Silly Shoe/Sock day: dress up with your silliest candy land footwear!
Friday – Circus Day: dress up like something from the circus, a great place to get sweet treats!

For children 8 – 14 years we will offer four 1-week interactive virtual workshop sessions (each week will feature different workshops). 1-hour workshops will run Monday – Friday; the first at 10am – 11am and the second at 12pm – 1pm (a total of 10 workshops per week). Participants can sign up for one or more weeks. Program cost will be $100 per week. Workshop descriptions are being finalized as this message is going out to you. We are planning a variety of workshops including acting, improv, music, choreography, character development, audition prep, etc.  We are thrilled to have a dynamic team of workshop professionals including: Lead instructors Collette Fortin and Becky Rush with additional workshops led by Robert Dionne, Jocelyn Duford, and Cady Hickman.  Additional workshop instructors may also be added to our lineup.
