- 10 participants max per workshop.

- Workshops will be held inside or outside depending on weather and activity.

Wednesday, August 5th 10am – 11am / YOUTH Character Development with Jocelyn Duford
Ages: 8 – 12 years / Cost: $10 per session
How can we use our voice and body to create a believable character? In this workshop, we will begin to explore how to develop a role grounded in truth based on information from a scene or story. With this foundation you will be better equipped to take on your next role!
Thursday, August 6th 10am – 11am / TEEN Character Development with Jocelyn Duford
Ages: 13 – 16 years / Cost: $10 per session
How can we use our voice and body to create a believable character? In this workshop, we will begin to explore how to develop a role grounded in truth based on information from a text. This is a great chance to gain skills to tackle your upcoming roles and become a stronger actor.
Tuesday, August 11th 10am – 11:30am / Musical Theatre Dance with Collette Fortin
Youth ages 8 – 12 years / Cost: $10
Participants will learn some basic and new dance steps with an emphasis on telling a story through dance. How do you use your movements, posture, gestures and facial expressions to tell the story? Come learn choreography and create a piece with fellow participants. After we learn the dance we’ll play a few theatre games to end our time together.
Thursday, August 13th 10am – 11:30am / Choreography Workshop with Collette Fortin
Youth ages 13 – 16 years / Cost: $10
In this workshop you will learn choreography as well as create and apply your own moves! Participants will be assigned a character to portray while learning movement created by Collette. Participants will then be asked to create their own movement to go along with their character. Get ready to learn and create to portray specific characters within a song. After we learn the dance we’ll play a few theatre games to end our time together.
Tuesday & Thursday, August 18 & 20th 6pm – 7pm / Improve Your Improv with Jocelyn Duford
*(attend one or both sessions, activities will be different from workshop to workshop)
Ages: 8 – 17 years / Cost: $10
In this workshop, there is no script! Through different exercises, we will hone our on the spot storytelling skills. We will learn the importance of listening, creating a character, as well as the value of “yes, and…”
